Caring Cupboard
Program Purpose
There are basic items that every student requires to be successful in school. Emergency needs may include food, clothing, eyeglasses, supplies, fees and personal items. These are items that can’t always be provided by the family at the time they are needed. Through communication with ESD Principals, Counselors and Nurses, The Caring Cupboard will provide emergency items needed as quickly as possible.
Since 2014, over $27,000 worth of items have been delivered to students in the Ellensburg School District through Caring Cupboard.
How Can You Help?
- Be a financial contributor with a one time, monthly, or yearly donation (Caring Cupboard Donor Sheet)
- Offer to be an emergency purchase resource and contact for Mary Gordon (509-899-0868, marygordon@elltel.net)
- Help bring a business on board for discounted services and supplies
- Communicate with a building Principal or Counselor concerning an emergency need you see in our community
